About the Course
Drawing is one of 3 rotational classes held on Thursdays for students in grades 2-8. The other 2 classes are Music Theory & History, and Literature. Students will rotate with their age group (2nd-4th, 4th-6th and 6th-8th) to their 3 45-min classes with a 15 min snack break between their first 2 classes and a 10min break between classes 2 and 3.
During this class, students will work on building their observational drawing skills using the book "Drawing for the Absolute and Utter Beginner" as a spine. Classes will have weekly lessons and homework will be assigned most weeks. Students will need to purchase a mixed media pad (9x12 or 11x14 size) and a set of drawing pencils which will need to be brought back and forth between class and home each week. No prior art or drawing experience is required.

Mrs. Mariette

Mrs. Mariette has been a CCL parent since we opened in the summer of 2022. She helped out as a sub and helper our first year, and began teaching the art class for the 23/24 school year. She continued in 24/25 and we're happy to have her with us another year for 25/26.
