Meet the Teachers!

Mrs. Erika (Iurcovich)

Founder, Director, Teacher

Erika holds a master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education from the University of Florida as well as National Board Certification in reading and language arts for grades k-8. She has over 20 years experience as a teacher. She was a classroom teacher in the public school system (both elementary and middle school) for 7 years, a tutor in private schools and homes for 7 years, and has been homeschooling her 3 girls (going into 3rd, 6th and 8th grade for the 25/26 school year) for the last 7 years. After searching endlessly and unsuccessfully for drop off academic classes where all 3 girls could attend at the same time but be separated by age groups, she started, organized and ran a homeschool co-op which grew to over 35 children in 4 different age groups. She enjoyed organizing the group and teaching art to the different age groups during the 2 years the group met, but ultimately decided to open a learning center where she would have a physical space to bring all of her teaching experience, art supplies and learning materials. A place for her own children to learn and play with peers, build friendships and community, and offer homeschool parents an opportunity to learn alongside their children or drop off and have a much-needed break!

Mrs. Holly

Mrs. Holly has been a CCL parent since December of 2022 when she enrolled her son in our art classes. He quickly began coming to classes daily, and Mrs. Holly joined us a sub in the spring of 2023. She signed on to teach classes for fall of 2023 and has been teaching both the history classes on Wednesdays and the Literature classes on Thursdays ever since. Mrs. Holly has signed on to continue teaching the History classes on Wednesdays and the Literature classes on Thursdays to the older 3 groups. We are very lucky to have Mrs. Holly sharing her gifts with us!

Mrs. Gina

Mrs. Gina has been a CCL parent since our very first classes began in Fall of 2022. Her 2 boys attend classes daily and have grown with us over the years. Mrs. Gina signed on to teach Spanish on Tuesdays in the fall of 2023, and decided to rejoin us as not only our Tuesday Spanish teacher for 2024, but also our Thursday music teacher. Mrs. Gina holds a degree in early childhood education and is fun, kind & creative with her classes. Mrs. Gina will continue teaching Spanish on Tuesdays and Music on Thursdays to the older 3 groups and is already planning a rigorous year of learning. We love having Mrs. Gina teaching with us two days a week.

Mrs. Mariette

Mrs. Mariette was one of the first parents to sign her son up for classes back in the summer of 2022. She joined us for all of our summer camps as a helper and teacher, and joined us as a sub and helper on Thursdays that first year. In 2023, she signed on to be the art teacher for Thursdays, and has been teaching that class ever since. Mariette is an amazing artist and brings her skills and expertise to the children, exposing them to a range of materials and techniques and encouraging artistic growth and experimentation in her classes. She will continue as the art teacher next year where the focus will be on drawing skills during the first 18 weeks and watercolor the 2nd 18 weeks. We're all looking forward to seeing our students grow in their artistic abilities under Mariette's guidance next year!

Mrs. Renae

Mrs. Renae joined us in the fall of 2024, signing on as our States and Natives teacher just a week before school started back! Mrs. Erika had the hardest time finding a teacher for this class and was overjoyed when Mrs. Renae not only decided to join the team, but jumped right in with planning a bunch of fun activities for the kids to do in her class. She has made her class so engaging and we are delighted that she'll be joining us again next year as our Tuesday Geography teacher for the older 3 groups! Mrs. Renae's daughter has attended classes with us this year and she plans to have her son attend next year as well - we can't wait to have them!

Ms. Elise

Ms. Elise joined our team in the fall of 2024 as a long term sub covering all of Ms. Krista's classes while she was on maternity leave and quickly became a regular teacher! Ms. Elise is a homeschool grad who completed her AA and is taking a gap year before deciding on college. Elise currently teaches our life skills class on Tuesdays, our science class on Wednesdays and our Nature Studies little group on Thursdays. She is so good with kids of all ages (teaching 4yr olds to 13 yr olds!), and is an amazing role model for all of our students. Elise could not have come at a better time and we are SO thankful Mrs. Renae referred her! Mrs. Elise will continue teaching all 3 days next year - 2 days with our older kiddos and Thursdays with our K-2 kids :)

Ms. Amanda

Ms. Amanda is our most recent addition - she'll be joining us on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for the 25/26 school year as our K-2 teacher! Amanda's 2 older kids have been coming to classes since early 2023, and her youngest joined our 4-7yr old class in early 2025. When Mrs. Erika decided to add a k-2 class all days for the upcoming school year,  she knew Amanda's kind, patient & creative energy would be a perfect fit for our youngest learners. We are so excited to have Mrs. Amanda join our team and can't wait to see the growth our k-2 kids make under her guidance next year!
