About the Course
Critical Thinking is one of 3 rotational classes held on Tuesdays for students in grades 2-8. The other 2 classes are Spanish and Geography. Students will rotate with their age group (2nd-4th, 4th-6th and 6th-8th) to their 3 45-min classes with a 15 min snack break between their first 2 classes and a 10min break between classes 2 and 3.
We will be using 2 books from The Critical Thinking Company in this class: "The Basics of Critical Thinking" and "Building Thinking Skills Level 2". When time permits, kids will also work on logic games and puzzles. All classes will have a 9-week schedule with topics and suggested continued learning. Digital versions of the curriculum we're using will be available on the website for enrolled students.

Ms. Elise
Ms. Elise joined our team in 2024. She is a homeschool grad who earned her AA while completing high school. She has taught a range of classes and ages every day at CCL during the 24/25 school year, including the Tuesday life skills class, which is similar to our Critical Thinking class for 25/26. She is an amazing teacher and wonderful role model to all of our students.
