About the Course
Writing is one of 3 rotational classes held on Wednesdays for students in grades 2-8. The other 2 classes are Physics and Medieval History. Students will rotate with their age group (2nd-4th, 4th-6th and 6th-8th) to their 3 45-min classes with a 15 min snack break between their first 2 classes and a 10min break between classes 2 and 3.
We will be using the curriculum "Essentials in Writing" in this class. The youngest group will be doing level 3, the middle group will be doing level 5, and the older group will be doing level 7. Students will have homework every week and will be expected to keep up with assignments in order to make progress. All classes will have a 9-week schedule with lessons covered each week in class. Digital versions of the curriculum we're using will be available for enrolled students along with instructions on how to access it.

Your Instructor
Ms. Elise
Ms. Elise joined our team in 2024. She is a homeschool grad who earned her AA while completing high school. She taught a range of classes and ages every day at CCL during the 24/25 school year and summer 2025 classes. Elise is a fantastic writer who will no doubt inspire the students to improve their own writing skills while working through the EIW curriculum during the 25/26 school year. She is an amazing teacher and wonderful role model to all of our students.
